About the Service:
As a Residential Respite Care Provider, we provide care under both planned and unplanned Respite funding.
Planned Respite is via Disability Support Link (DSL) Needs Assessment. For an individual living independently, you may have assigned 'Respite Days' on your WDHB Care Plan. In this case, you can contact us to arrange a date to stay in our facility.
Unplanned Respite can arise when there is an emergency situation. It usually occurs if a client's carer is unavailable to care for them due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances, resulting in them having to be admitted into temporary care. Your local Needs Assessor from DSL would arrange this care with us.

If you are coming to us for Respite, please bring your personal care items with you, your current medication and a print out of medications from your Health Practitioner (GP).

If you like to knit or read, bring these with you, however, we do have a range of books available and Netflix on the large television in the lounge. you are welcome to join in with the daily activities whilst you are with us.
